Here are a few of the children that are part of the Peace Program

Here are some pictures from the PEace Program. this program is through united with hope. these children go to pastor francis home daily where a hired teacher tutors them for three hours a day and provides one meal a day for the children six days a week. do you want to know what it cost, for only $7 dollars a month, these children eat once a day and tutoring to get them ready for the ability to go to the government schools. most of these children would not be eating at all if it were not for pastor francis and his peace program.

Here are a few of the widows whom i write to

Here are several widowed women that I write to through Child Hope Zambia in Zambia and Mwana Hope Zambia here in the US.  I can provide them with extra gifts as well. The extra gifts are not expensive, things like a washing tub for $5, 25 kg of mealie meal is $12.50, utensils, apron $3 etc.. you can do all kinds of things for them or you can simply write letters to encourage these women, the matriarchs, teh leaders of their communities. It is an excellent way to learn about another culture without having to spend a lot. It cost about a dollar to send a letter to Zambia.  These women are dying for outside contact, to meet and write women from other parts of the world, although i am positive that they would also love to talk to a man as well, they really desperately want to talk to outsiders. so if you can find it in your heart to make a friend, to get sto know someone that has strong faith and a hard life but still has hope and wants to make friends, then go ahead and contact chz about their widow program.

It has been a while

I have not posted much on this blog, but it is not for lack of caring. I have been taking the time to read and learn about a lot of different organizations out there that help a wide range of kids in a wide range of countries. I am partial to several organizations. I think that most of you know that know that i sponsor through Mwana Hope Zambia and i truly believe that it is one of the best program s around and i believe what the sponsorship program is doing as well as what the program that has been in place for 12 years is doing in regards to education, hiv activism, widow care and assistance etc.. I have also found United with Hope which offers the Peace Tutoring program, the amma irene home where dDurga and Sujeeth actually bring orphan children into their home and provide them with love and stability and a chance for an education. Then there are programs like like the His Hands for Africa, His Hands for Haiti, etc, and not to be forgotten New Victory in Uganda.

I am not the best fund raiser, i am not the most organized person and i certainly am not the best person for this, but with that said, i am still working to help each organization in a different way. lets be real, even if i am not the best at a lot of things, it doesnt matter, what does matter is that i do something, i take the time and make the effort to help. we are either part of the problem or part of the solution, what matters is do we turn our backs or do we make a difference and do something. each one of us has the opportunity to help. lets be real, we can not solve the problem, we can not  save every child, we can not change every child's life, but we can make a difference for one child at a time.. it makes a difference , i can make a difference, you can make a difference .. so i dare you, if you are not already helping in some way.. find a way to help, wether it be locally, in your own community through a tutoring program, sponsor a child.. it is not as expensive as you think.. really can you not afford aslittle as $7 a month, $9 per month , 10-12.50 a month, up to 22 per month... .so.. there are a lot of programs doing different things for kids in different countries. ...
think about it, then just do it..
